Ericsson appoints new Regional Head

* Robert Puskaric, currently head of Ericsson operations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, takes on the role as new head of region Northern Europe and Central Asia
* Effective as of July 1st

Robert Puskaric, currently head of Ericsson's operations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, has been appointed head of Ericsson�s established region Northern Europe and Central Asia.

"Northern Europe and Central Asia is Ericsson's, largest region, in geographical size and one of the most exciting with a mix of network expansion and highly-advanced roll-out of 4G/LTE," says Robert Puskaric. "Ericsson's new regional set-up aims to drive flexibility, speed and innovation in our organization, securing an even greater customer focus."

Robert Puskaric joined Ericsson in 1996 and before becoming Head of former Market Unit Eastern Europe and Central Asia he was Head of Ericsson's business unit Ericsson Mobile Platforms. On August 2008, STMicroelectronics and Ericsson announced the merger of Ericsson Mobile Platforms and ST-NXP Wireless into a joint venture, named ST-Ericsson, and Puskaric was appointed Deputy CEO and Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing of ST-Ericsson.

Puskaric was born in Helsingborg, Sweden in 1969, and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the School of Economics and Management at Lund University, Sweden, in 1996.

Puskaric replaces Mats Granryd who has left the company for the position of President and CEO of Swedish operator Tele2.
