It's been a bit of a stressful week, friends. And stress makes me want to EAT. But since I'd rather not mess with my bikini bod, I'm reaching for some deliciously-scented body goodies instead. Behold, five of my favorite dessert-scented products:
Laura Mercier Creme de Pistache Souffle Body Creme. Here's how I described it when I first tried it: "like the most decadent pistachio ice cream - it

Just Desserts: Laura Mercier Creme de Pistache
I swung by Neiman Marcus recently to have a sniff of a few new scents, and to try out Laura Mercier's latest bath & body collection, Creme de Pistache.
Friends, I just COULD NOT WAIT to tell you how awesome the new scent is.
I opened the jar of body creme and the sales associate immediately swept over, scooping out a dab of the product and depositing it on my arm. Within 5 seconds, I knew I

Two More Fab Compacts from Laura Mercier
Last week we looked at the lovely Eye Mosaic in Mediterranean Sea, and I just can't resist showing off two other LM compacts - check out these beauties!First is the Illuminating Powder in Moroccan Bronze; I'm loving the four blocks of color and the gorgeous stamped design. Works as an illuminator on medium to dark skin tones, and a subtle allover bronzer for fair skin. It looks matte in the photo

Teal for the Timid: Laura Mercier Eye Mosaic in Mediterranean Sea
If you loved the look of the Urban Decay Get Baked palette but are looking for something a bit more subtle and subdued, check out the Laura Mercier Eye Mosaic in Mediterranean Sea.I spotted this quad compact yesterday and seriously considered taking it home (I already have WAY too many champagne, teal and dark blue shadows to justify it, but still, it was close).Mediterranean Sea packs four

Highlights...But Not For Children
No, this isn't an "adult-oriented" post, I'm just hoping that a few of you will remember those Highlights...for Children magazines that were perpetually available in just about every pediatrician's waiting room. I would always get annoyed when the puzzles inside were already done, or if some sloppy child scribbled all over the pages. Swine!Anyhow, this post is about those fabulous products that

Spring Collections: Laura Mercier Seduction Collection
Laura Mercier always does such gorgeous deep jewel tones - especially deep violets - so I was excited to see an entire collection devoted to these lovely shades! The Seduction Collection is bold and rich, but still wearable and accessible. The liquid eyeliners alone are swoonworthy, but the flower-embossed eyeshadow quads really put this collection over the top.Wild Violet (left) houses

Beauty on the Road: No Liquids Edition
Whew! Sorry I had to take a bit of a break from blogging these past few days; I was out of town on business and had a schedule that left little room for anything but work, traveling, sleeping, and eating. After spending a few hours on a plane this week, I got to thinking about what you can take on board with you, to skirt the new restrictions and still look gorgeous when you arrive at your final

Even Cowgirls Get The Blues
"The first rule of eye makeup is that you can never wear enough blue eye shadow." - Jamie Lee Curtis as Shelly, in My Girl My Girl was set in 1972, and we all know now that there certainly is such a thing as too much blue eye shadow. It's arguable that no other single cosmetic item was responsible more heinous crimes against good sense, and good style, in decades past. It made a comeback in the

Doubting Palette
I take issue with palettes. They seem like such a great idea at the start - everything you need for the perfect face, all neatly organized with a little mirror. But then, after admiring this seemingly genius invention, you find yourself toting the whole thing around but only reaching for that one shadow, one shade of lip gloss, or the bronzer.Never, ever the whole shebang. There's always a flaw -

Home Fragrance for the Connoisseur
No Glade Plug-Ins for you, my friend! There are just too many gorgeous, divinely-scented candles out there for you to skimp and go for a one-note drugstore brand. Sometimes I wish I had more rooms in my house so I could scent each one differently! Some (this is by no means a comprehensive list) of my favorites:Tocca Candle Collection: These burn for 60 hours and are elegantly packaged in clear
