Pretty in Pink: 12 Gorgeous Glosses

There's nothing like a great pink lippie to add a fresh pop of color to your summer look! I have a major soft spot for pink glosses; in fact, as I was going through my collection to write this post, it was difficult to narrow it down to 12. Check out my favorite pink lip glosses below, ranging from cotton candy to deep raspberry, in shimmer, cream, and plumping versions. What are your favorite

Get the Look: Ellen Page at the Premiere of Defiance

Ellen Page has definitely been looking more polished these days! But what I like most about this red carpet look is that she still looks like...well, Ellen Page. Not too done up, just relaxed and natural, but still polished.Lancome National Makeup Artist Darais created Ellen's Defiance premiere look and used that new mascara that's been all over the blogs and magazines. Oscillation? Perhaps

Things I Would Love Anyway, Even If They Were Crap

See the picture? You know where this is going. These are just a few of the products that have suckered me in over the years thanks to their exceptionally pretty packaging. Sometimes you just can't help it, and objectivity goes out the window! Fortunately, all the products listed in this post are just fine all on their own (no lipstick on the pig here) but the packaging just puts them over the

My Blush, My Rock

You may have noticed the lack of posts around here these days. It's been an eventful couple of weeks here at Beauty Addict! Not to mention 3 big proposals and a complete absence of the "summer slowdown" at work, there's been...let's see...a broken car air conditioner, a broken computer, the worst summer allergies of my life, Windows Vista, a cracked windshield (thanks, NJ Turnpike!) and a trip to

New Collection: Lancome Maharani Jewels

Lancmes Fall color collection, Maharani Jewels, pays homage to India, where the beauty brand opened last year. Now, I'm trying to write something coherent here, but all I can really say is...OMG ELEPHANT COMPACT. And NEW JUICY TUBES PACKAGING. Need I say more? The Poudre Elephant Teint is a limited edition bronzer with an embossed elephant. I want it, but I don't think I'd ever use it, for fear

The Elusive Holy Grail of SPF Lip Glosses Rides Again

Longtime readers will know about my undying obsession with a certain Lancome lipgloss not available in the US. Lancome Soleil Icy Tubes Ultra Shiny Cooling Lip Gloss with SPF 15 has been my ultimate Holy Grail SPF lip product for years now. No matter what else I try, I always come back to this. It smells like a ripe peach, is as shiny as your favorite Juicy Tube, and provides broad spectrum

Get the Look: Anne Hathaway at Get Smart Screening

Last Thursday, Lancome and Anne Hathaway hosted a special screening of Get Smart, benefiting the Lollipop Theater Network, a charitable organization in which Anne is involved. Lollipop brings first-run movies to children who ordinarily wouldn't be able to get out and see them due to prolonged hospital stays.Makeup artist Julie Harris did Anne's makeup for the event, playing up her eyes, cheeks

The Orange Lip: 5 Ways to Wear It

I love tackling the hard-to-wear lip looks here on Beauty Addict; last fall's post on How to Rock a Coral Lip was so much fun to write and even pushed me to be a little more adventurous with my own lip colors. Now that Spring has arrived, let's recall one of the biggest trends on the Spring runways: ORANGE lips. The look above is from Nanette Lepore; makeup artist Polly Osmond used MAC Morange

Self-Tanner Review Series: Lancome Flash Bronzer Tinted Self-Tanning Leg Gel

Yeah, yeah, it says it's for legs, but that doesn't mean that this Lancome self-tanning gel isn't great for the rest of your bod, too. Don't believe me? It's also a favorite of Nadine Haobsh and Jean Godfrey-June.

Lancome's Flash Bronzer Tinted Self-Tanning Leg Gel has a transparent deep bronze tint, a good dose of fine shimmer, and a helping of Vitamin E as an extra treat for your skin. It

The Beauty Addict Interview: Daria Werbowy

A couple of months ago I had the chance to sit down with Daria Werbowy to talk about her upcoming collection for Lancome. Our small group - Carolyn from The Daily Obsession, Susan from My Beautyberry, and myself - had a great time chatting Daria up on the new colors, the charity connection, and what it's like to play around in the Lancome lab.First off, Daria is incredibly down to earth,

Pixel Pink Mania Continues...

Check out this short video about designer Thakoon Panichgul and the creation of that most coveted raspberry lipstick, Pixel Pink.Eagle-eyed viewers might spot the back of my bleached little head during one of the backstage sequences. Haha!Lancome Color Fever Shine in Pixel Pink is now available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and the five Lancome boutiques. And it's been disappearing and

Pixel Pink Update

My Lancome Pixel Pink lippie arrived in the mail two days ago, and it is absolutely lovely. The shade has more of a blue raspberry cast than how it appears in the photo here (true to shade in this photo, though). It is very cool-toned, and the blue base makes it look incredible with blue eyes (although I suspect it is gorge on brown eyed girls and green eyed ladies as well).Pixel Pink adds a

Pixel Pink Available NOW!

I don't know about you, but I've been waiting since last September for the release of Pixel Pink, the latest Lancome/Gucci Westman/Thakoon collaboration lippie. It's the last in the Pout-a-Porter series, following in the footsteps (or lip-prints) of Behnaz, Proenza Pink, and PS Kiss.More wearable (and less controversial) than Proenza Pink, Pixel Pink is a sheer, shiny raspberry shade. It's less

Runway Beauty: Backstage at Thakoon

Thakoon was the last show that Gucci Westman and Lancome were doing together, so it was kind of a bittersweet moment...the end of an era. Gucci created an eye that was "a little bit theatrical," with shades of mauve, grey, white and lilac. The whole look was rather icy, "very cold, and sort of powdery," said Gucci.Cheeks were bright lilac-pink and the colors seemed to sweep up into the eye area,

Darling readers, you're all invited to a fab event at the Lancome Boutique at the Short Hills Mall in NJ this Friday, February 1. Steal America Ferrera's SAG Awards Look

America Ferrera definitely makes my "best" list for last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her grey Monique Lhuillier dress was just stunning, and I loved her makeup...subtle with just a touch of Old Hollywood.Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali used Lancome products to dress up America's face for the event, and I've got the scoop on the inspiration (modern take on Hollywood glamour) and the

Spring Collections: Lancome L.U.C.I.

It's with mixed emotions that I bring you Lancome's Spring 2008 collection, L.U.C.I (Luminescent. Colorless. Color. Intelligence.)Why is this such a bittersweet moment? While the products are beautiful, L.U.C.I. is Gucci Westman's last collection for Lancome. It just makes me a little wistful...Gucci was one of my first interviews the first time I covered New York Fashion Week, and I always

Seems that blinged out glosses are everywhere these days, and I'm loving this trend. Sure, you'll pay a little more, but you're getting a really fun conversation piece, whether as a gift or for yourself!Four little treasures that I'm obsessing over this holiday season:Dior DiorLight Holiday Bright Lip Gloss: This crystal bejeweled pendant is filled with a coppery-pink gloss.
