Bangkok chef operates out of a garage. For real!

I popped into my favorite causal Thai place after a doctor�s appointment for an order of pad thai. I used to come here a lot in high school � good food, big portions, fair prices, friendly service...it meets all the criteria for a successful mom and pop operation in Honolulu.

The food is very well priced, and my order of pad thai was only $4.75. It�s been at least a year since my last visit, and I noticed that the portion size is substantially smaller. Thinking it was only my plate, I peeked around at the other diners, and yup, for sure, everything had shrunk in portion size! Tastewise, it was as good as ever, noodles, chicken, egg, tofu, bean sprouts, green onions and crushed peanuts, not too sweet or over-sauced like what you often encounter. It was probably the �lightest� pad thai I ever had, and I like it that way :)
