Menggatal Ngiu Chap @ Inanam
Everybody knows how popular the Menggatal Ngiu Chap is, and even tourists are willing to take a taxi up to Menggatal just to try this special dish. But luckily, now you no longer have to drive up to Menggatal just to have the Ngiu Chap, as there is now a branch in Inanam/Kolombong area!Where is it exactly? If you know Alliance Bank Kolombong/Inanam, then you would have no problem finding this

Royal China Restaurant (Kota Kinabalu)
So on my previous food article in Bandwidth Streetpress (June Issue online here), we reviewed Royal China Restaurant, located in D'Junction building. What we like about eating Dim Sum here is that you can be assured that they're steamingly hot and fresh, as they aren't served on the usual Dim Sum cart; it came out right from the kitchen. These 2 dishes are the Chef's signature dishes, and they are

Man Tian Xia, The New Bak Kut Teh Kopitiam
While walking around Api-Api Centre, the KK Food Reviews crew stumbled upon Man Tian Xia Kopitiam. It's located towards the end of the Api-Api Centre block, beside the MAA Building. Now what makes this different as compared to other Bak Kut Teh eateries is that it has an Al-Fresco concept, which is located between the front and the back of the Api-Api Centre. You don't have to worry so much about

Sandakan Mee @ Golden Food Corner
Golden Food Corner is located at Jalan Damai, near the Damai Hall, and situated at the same row of shoplot as the Cosway (there is only one shoplot there). Refer to map below..Golden Food Corner is also famous for its delicious chicken rice. It would usually be finished by 1pm! So what I usually do is buy it or have it there as an early lunch. Tip for you guys! ;)Recently I was there for

Restoran Original Village Recipe
I've always just passed by the Restoran Original Village Recipe in Damai Point before this, and wondered what sort of dishes they serve. Well, the KK Food Reviews team finally got to try it out last night.First of all, I just gotta say that I love their decor! Sure, it's open aired, but I didn't mind so much as soon as I saw the comfortable couch! The ambience has a mixture of old and modern feel

Steamboat Dinner @ Dowish Restaurant
So my birthday was just recently, and one of the birthday dinners thrown to me was at a restaurant called Dowish Restaurant, located at Jalan Penampang (right beside the traffic light to go in Jalan Bundusan). It's been ages since I've eaten here, and this restaurant used to be a family favourite back in the days. I remember it being filled with customers everytime we were here, but this time, it

Uncle Lee Fish House
The KK Food Reviews team just love checking out unknown eateries around Kota Kinabalu. To me, I'm just not that into visiting an eatery where I have to stand and wait for an empty seat, then wait even longer for my food to arrive! We do love going to lesser known eateries though, where there are less people around. No problem in finding seats, and food arrive in less than 1/2 hour! This way, we

Tom Yam & Fried Prawn Dumplings @ Kedai Kopi Janggut
*old post (from kkfood.blog.com).. copied to this blog*I can't remember when was the last time I dined at Kedai Kopi Janggut.. maybe sometime earlier in the year? I did a search here on my food blog to see whether I blogged about this place before, and to my horror, I haven't! *Gasp!*So I dragged WC to have our lunch there recently. The coffeeshop always seemed to be full of customers; always a
Bao Jian Tang
Bao Jian Tang is one of my favourite places to go to for my herbal drink fix. And recently, I went with not only WC, but sis Jewelle and BIL as well. These are what we ordered: Sea Coconut + White Fungus [price: RM3], Red Bean [price: RM2.50], and my favourite, the "Fu Chuk" Barley [price: RM2.50].I like the fact that these desserts aren't too sweet (I just cannot stand sweet things), unlike

Dining @ Penang Village
While I was shopping with sis Jewelle earlier last month, we had the chance to try out the food at Penang Village, located at 1Borneo, on the Concourse Floor.Decor inside is quite nice.. with a dimly lit ambience (but we felt a bit warm actually, maybe it was only at that time?). We were there on a weekday during lunchtime, and we noticed that it is a popular spot for business executives to dine

Lunch & Dessert @ CUBE
I've always have my dinner (and wine) at CUBE, but I've never actually tried their Lunch Menu yet. So when sis Jewelle wanted to meet up for lunch at City Mall and asked for a place to eat, I quickly suggested CUBE!These are what we had:Sis Jewelle had the Curry Chicken Rice [price: RM10.50++]. I tried it myself, and it's quite bland, IMO. It's only so-so.But I had the Minced Chicken Noodle Soup

Lunch @ Yummy Chicken Restaurant
A few days prior to Christmas Day, WC and I had our lunch here at Yummy Chicken Restaurant. This restaurant is also on the same row as the Moonbell Restaurant. The place was nice and simple; there weren't a lot of people when we were there at around 12pm.Firstly, we ordered the Yummy Pancake [price: RM4.80] as they call it, but truthfully, it was only so-so. It has ground peanuts together with '

The Delicious Moon Bell Restaurant
Before I start my post, I just gotta say, why haven't I eaten at this eatery before??? My loss.. my loss! Sedappppp!
So WC and I were in downtown KK last night, scouting for new places to dine at. Somehow before this, we'd always say that we'd eat here in Moonbell Restaurant, but the lack of parking have always made us change our minds.
But not last night! Using 'The Secret' technique (teehee

The Place, Api-Api Centre
I'm sure a lot of you have seen or passed The Place before. This Filipino Cafe & Lounge (but serves not only Filipino cuisines, but also Western and Chinese dishes as well!) is located at Api-Api Centre, facing the Marina Court, and is a very well-known place due to its colourful decors! (well, that's how I remember this place; it has always been colourful since the beginning!)See what I mean? And

Dinner @ Beaufort Restaurant
Whenever I pass by Beaufort Restaurant, I would always see it FILLED with customers every single time. But I've been told before that the food served there are quite expensive. So that explained why WC and I never got around to dining there before.Nevertheless, I was always curious as to how 'expensive' the food there might be, and lucky for me, this week, my question was answered, as we had
