VIDEO: Citroen C3 Ad Takes a Humorous Swipe at Poorly Equipped Cars

The clever minds over at the H-Paris agency are behind this new ad for Citroen�s Fiesta-rivaling C3 supermini called the �Bip Bip�. The witty commercial stars a young owner of an Innocenti Mini, which is a re-bodied version of the original Mini designed by Bertone. The spot shows the man trying to emulate the sounds of a modern day car�s electronic amenities. Not quite strong, but funny nevertheless. Citro�n to Show DS4 Purple, C3 Red Block and C6 Noir et Blanc Concept Models at the Geneva Salon

With the 2011 Geneva motor show only a week away, Citro�n has published photos but very few details on three new concept cars based on the firm's production models that it plans to reveal on March 1. The design studies are the C3 Red Block, DS4 Purple and the C6 �Noir et Blanc�.

Starting with the C3 Red Block, the French firm's supermini sports a bespoke matt grey paintjob with red accents on the window line and the 17-inch alloy wheels, plus smoked headlamps and tail lamps, a lowered suspension, and unique interior trim highlighted by the red leather seats, aluminum accents on the steering wheel, door panels and center console, and what the company describes as a "3D Bulldog carved dashboard".

Set to make its debut alongside the final production version of the high-riding DS4, will be a design study called the DS4 Purple, which according to Citro�n, "takes inspiration from the techniques of jewellery craft".

The third and final concept is the C6 �Noir et Blanc�, which is a study on new colors and materials for the firm's range-topping model.

Citro�n adds "BLACKCHERRY" Edition and New EU5 HDi Engine to C3 Picasso's UK Range

For the new model year, Citro�n has updated the range of its UK market C3 Picasso with the addition of a limited edition version called the "BLACKCHERRY " and the introduction of a new Euro 5 HDi 110 diesel engine matched to a 6-speed transmission.

The new C3 Picasso BLACKCHERRY is based on the VTR+ model with power coming from a 90HP 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine. The model stands out from the rest of the series with the cherry red and glossy black exterior and interior detailing, roof bars and 17-inch cherry red diamond-tipped alloy wheels. It is offered exclusively in a premium black metallic body finish.

Standard features include air conditioning, cruise control with speed limiter, Connecting Box (USB socket & Bluetooth� system), electrically adjustable door mirrors and front electric windows. On-the-road prices start at �15,195.

In other news, the French carmaker's small MPV will be offered with a new Euro 5 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine delivering 110HP and linked to a 6-speed gearbox. Citro�n says fuel economy is just under 59mpg UK on the combined cycle with CO2 emissions down 5g/km over the Euro 4 unit to 125g/km.

Citro�n also added a Connecting Box (USB and Bluetooth connectivity) as standard specification on the VTR+ and Exclusive trim levels.

The updated C3 Picasso goes on sale across Britain on November 1st.
