The Taiwan Telecommunication Industry Development Association (TTIDA), an organization established by the five 3G mobile telecom carriers in Taiwan, will organize a representative group to visit members of the Association of Communications Across the Taiwan Strait (ACATS), its counterpart in China, to talk about substantial cooperation in the fourth of 2010, according to TTIDA president Lu Shyue-ching who is also chairman for Taiwan-based Chunghwa Telecom.
An ACATS delegation visited TTIDA and its members in Taiwan in June 2010, with both sides signing a few MOUs for framework cooperation covering several items of telecom business, Lu indicated. The planned visit is to talk about relatively detailed cooperation specific to each item of telecom business and, if a consensus is reached, sign MOUs, Lu pointed out.
