Through New Fiber-to-the-Node Network Development, AT&T Will Deliver Cutting-Edge Services to Residents of Eight Local Apartment Complexes.
Bringing the latest entertainment services to South Florida, AT&T* and United Property Management today announced that they will deliver AT&T U-verse TV to eight multi-dwelling buildings in the Miami area. As part of an agreement with AT&T Connected Communities�, AT&T will build a fiber-to-the-node (FTTN) network for apartment complexes Brickell First, Cherry Grove Village, Fountainbleu Milton, International Club, Intracoastal Yacht Club, Lago Club, Royal Palms and Royalton on the Green.
U-verse TV customers can enjoy numerous TV benefits, including the ability to watch and manage recordings from a single DVR on any connected TV in the home with U-verse Total Home DVR; an extensive High Definition (HD) channel lineup with access to 130 HD channels; the ability to program DVR recordings from their Web-connected mobile phone or PC; personalized, on-screen weather, sports, traffic and stock information via AT&T U-bar� and more.
This agreement with United Property Management and is part of the AT&T Connected Communities program, a strategic marketing initiative between AT&T and regional and national builders, developers, real estate investment trusts, apartment ownership and management groups, and home owners� associations to provide next-generation communications and entertainment solutions to residents.

AT&T introduced U-verse services in Florida as a result of legislation supported by former Representative Trey Traviesa and state Senator Mike Bennett and signed into law by Governor Crist. The Consumer Choice Act of 2007, House Bill 529, provides an environment that encourages new video providers, such as AT&T, to invest in Florida to compete against incumbent cable providers.

With 131 units, Brickell First is located at 101 SW 13 Street in Miami. Construction on the apartment complex began in December, 2008 and is scheduled for completion in December, 2010.
