GLOBAL Another week and another drop of the Conversations line into the MyDailyApp rockpool. This week the App-seekers have fished out a prize catch from the Ovi Store with a big focus on tapping into your social side.
ShoZu enables you to stay connected to your favourite online services including social networks such as Facebook, micro-blogging sites such as Twitter or sites like CNN Exchange and Daily Motion. Set up the app on your device by signing into your various services and youre good to go. ShoZu pops up an on screen alert for accounts youre watching and also enables you to keep your favourite sites and services updated, right from your phone.
ShoZu has been around for a while now, and Im sure many of you are already using it. For those who havent seen it though, its worth checking out. Less than $5 at the Ovi Store.
How to use ShoZu
Staying in touch when youre abroad has never been easier. But still, the folks back home still appreciate a postcard. So, instead of sending one of those naff ones of a donkey wearing a sombrero from your Costa Del Sol resort, create your own and send it using Touchnote. With the app installed, simply take a photo, add a message, add an address and youre good to go. The first postcard is free, and it costs from $2 per card (depending on what pack size you buy) for each additional card. So about the same as if you bought a card, scribbled a message, bought a stamp, found a postbox and hit send. Only easier. Dont be fooled by the name though, this app isnt available for touch devices yet!
So, theres this micro-blogging service. Its got a few users, so its reasonably well known. Twitter? Yeah, you heard of it right? Tweets60 is a free alternative to mobile Twitter clients such as Gravity and works well. Posting is a cinch and you can choose how often you check for updates on your device. As the folks on MyDailyApp highlight, if youre new to Twitter, then Tweets60 could be the perfect way to take your tweets mobile.
