Motorola to outsource all sub-US$150 handsets; MediaTek to supply chips, says paper

Motorola has decided to outsource all of its entry-level handsets priced below US$150 and designated MediaTek to be the chip supplier, according to a Chinese-language United Daily News (UDN) report.

Motorola's outsourcing will amount to at least 40 million handsets each year, the report noted.
