Xterprise has been ranked at the top of the latest Vendor Matrix released by ABI Research.
OATSystems and InSync Software claimed the second and third spots in the company�s new evaluation of worldwide line of business (LOB) application software solutions vendors.
�Line of Business applications are ultimately where business transformation and value are created,� says RFID practice director Michael Liard. �LOB application software vendors can be described as those offering application software packages that enable turnkey solutions for verticals.�
�Although facing increasing competition from its peers, Xterprise leads with its emphasis on developing a broad, deep portfolio of robust asset and item management-related LOB application solutions that target multiple verticals,� says Liard. �The diversity of the company�s offerings, markets, and customers helped drive strong scores across criteria.�
The Vendor Matrix is an analytical tool developed by ABI Research to provide a clear understanding of vendors� positions in specific markets. Vendors are assessed on the important parameters of �innovation� and �implementation� across several criteria unique to each vendor matrix.
Under "innovation," ABI Research examined the scope of innovation of the vendors� RFID LOB solution offerings, their degree of partner and solution enablement, and the solutions� enterprise deployment-friendliness and flexibility. Also evaluated: the vendors� application and vertical market leadership, alignment, and innovation; their overall RFID strategies, vision and approaches; their degree of industry leadership, influence and knowledge transfer; and their new application enablement.
Under "implementation," ABI Research scrutinized the following criteria: the breadth and strength of vertical and application markets served/targeted; the vendors� software integration and support capabilities; their customer deployments and international market penetration; the degree of partner collaboration and the extent of the partner ecosystem, and the vendors� overall perceived market leadership, strength, and experience.
