Mobile operator �MTS Uzbekistan� announced today that the number of MTS subscribers in Uzbekistan has exceeded six million. This increase of 1 million subscribers occurred in the past 5 months.
The operator also noted that since the beginning of last year in the program to improve quality and expand the coverage area of the network, he held a wide range of activities. In particular, throughout this period to put into operation new base stations in various parts of the country. In December last year, �MTS Uzbekistan� launched commercial service of third-generation network, which currently operates in five cities - Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench and Khiva. In addition, in March 2009 the company introduced an innovative service �Mobile TV�, through which users can view on the screens of their mobile phone transmission channels �Uzbekistan� and �TV Markaz� online.
