The Best Day of the Week?

Today is Wednesday and I simply cannot stop smiling. Maybe it is because I finished work at 3pm (!!!) A miracle considering I've been leaving closer to the midnight hours these past few weeks. I finally saw sunlight today! I was out breathing fresh (New York) air in the afternoon! There were still people out in the streets! So many reasons to smile.

And so on this beautiful day I dashed off to visit Robyn for a quick bit and then strolled down to the Greenmarket for apples and pears. I whittled away the late afternoon hours, cell phone off, book in hand with mochas and cake at Abra�o.

This place exudes an unspoken warmth, further enhanced by a record player with delightful rounds of Brazilian music. Abra�o is darling, and Jamie must be the city's most charming proprietor - it is terribly hard not to smile once you enter. Mocha in hand, a window view of 7th Street on Wednesday afternoon, and a slice of olive oil cake, makes me happier than I dare imagine.
