...to a dark swirl-whirl of snow blanketing midtown east.
I ordered lunch from Spoons on 52rd Street today, a bowl steamed tofu and broccoli over brown rice with a side shoyu/sesame/green onion dressing. Sometimes nothing feels quite as nice as a cleansing lunch...but of course, I'd have to go and chase that lunch with dessert!
Also from Spoons, a soft ginger cookie. Dainty in size and darling in appearance, it was a tad too soft and light on the ginger for my preference.
And, for an afternoon pick-me-up, slices of Asian pear.
Dinner? The audit team did takeout from Little Thai Kitchen where I had a warming dish of pad see-ew. LTK is a favourite dinner spot with our audit team - dishes are always on the greasier side, but oh man, after grinding away at Excel sheets for 12 hours straight, nothing hits the spot like hot noodles! ^_^
...and a cup of thai tea to wind down for the night. The drink was a strange number, tasting as if it were sweetened with corn syrup instead of condensed milk...
P.S.
We'll keep hush-hush the Klondike bar devoured at 8pm...along with midnight munchings of chocolate truffles and toffee from Wiseman House (more to come on the package of treats they mailed over :)
Hope you all enjoyed Tuesday!
