Recently announced on the Symbian Developer Network website, Symbian Signed will be changing during Q4 2007. There will be three new and simplified signing options, supported by a new, and lower cost, Certificate Authority.
Here's an overview of the changes:
- Open Signed, updating and replacing Developer Certificate signing
- Express Signed, a new option similar to Self Certification
- Certified Signed, updating and replacing the mainstream signing option
- TCTrustCenter, will become the Certificate Authority for Symbian Signed
