Here's to the power of words:
After readings THIS article in yesterday's Honolulu Advertiser, I could not stop thinking about Panda Express all night and all morning. I dont know why, it just happened to be one of those articles that get stuck in your mind. It also brought back memories of trips to the mall during those middle school years where everyone would happily agree to Panda for lunch.
After nearly drooling over endless shiny platters of orange chicken and kung pao chicken and chicken with string beans and other sorts of chicken in all kinds of scary forms, I convinced my friend to drive me there for lunch. "Lets have Panda Express for lunch!" I said enthusiastically. She looked at me like I was crazy (and I proabably am at times), "you want Panda Express? For real kines?" And I said, "yes." And because she's my friend and friends know when requests shouldn't be questioned, off we went without a hitch. I don't this I've ever actually craved Panda Express, but hey, there's always a first!
I had orange chicken, eggplant tofu, and half fried rice, half chow mein. Greasy, fatty, too sweet and quite nauseating after you finish, it was just as I expected and craved.
One interesting thing about non-Hawaii Panda Express locations: how come they no serve chow funn? What's up with that? Everyone on this islands know that Panda's chow funn is best item there. Even better than the orange chicken. That's why you should all move to Hawaii. Because we're unique. And like to eat.
I mean REALLY REALLY like to eat, check this out..."Hawaii's first Panda rakes in the highest revenue of any Panda anywhere -- that's $4 million annually."
Our tiny island placed first! We win! Guess who's close to placing second in brining Panda in the most revenue? "Moanalua is on its way to the No. 2 position nationally." We win again! Although I don't know if that's something we should be proud of...
Did you know the Hawaii locations of Cheesecake Factory and California Pizza Kitchen also bring in the most revenue out of all their locations? I told you we eat. (a lot).
Panda Express
All over the nation
But Hawaii brings in the most revenue...hehehe
