Marshmallow + Oatmeal cookies

Chocolate chip cookies...*sigh* it's one of those snack time munchies I've never been able to get enough of. Baking the same choc chip cookies over and over again can be extremely uninteresting; considering how often I have cravings for them. This resulted in a HUGE "choc-chip cookie" collection in my secret-recipe stash! This little gem of a recipe will definitely be going straight under my "favourites" tab.
I made 2 batches of cookies, One topped with mini marshmallows and one without. Here's a comparison...Due to my meager "cookie-baking" skills, my cookies don't look even half as yummy as the one's in Nic's photographs. I strongly recommend that you click HERE to take a peek. *mMmMm* floats into cookie heaven*. Another reason could be that I reduced the amount of chocolate chips to accommodate for sweet and sticky marshmallows which I added to the recipe.
Well.....in my opinion, do whatever you want with the recipe; you'll be the one eating them, so you may as well alter them to your personal preference. Do a couple of batches though...it's always a good idea to have a feel of what the original recipe tastes like.
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups oats (rolled or "quick," but not "instant")
2 cups chocolate chips (about 12-oz.)
2 cups mini marshmallows (My own adition to the recipe; it's optional ;))

Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and the sugars until mixture is light in color. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the milk and the vanilla extract.
In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Either by hand or with the mixer on low speed, gradually beat the flour in to the sugar mixture until just incorporated.
Stir in the oats and chocolate chips by hand.
Drop 1-inch balls of dough onto the cookie sheet, placing about 1 1/2 inches apart so they have room to spread. Press in the marshmallows on top (if you're using them).
Bake at 350F for 10-13 minutes, until golden brown at the edges and light golden at the center.
Cool on baking sheet for at least 1-2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes 4 dozen.
