SAN FRANCISCO -- SenSage, Inc. today announced that Joe Gottlieb has been named the company's new president and chief executive officer (CEO). Gottlieb, previously SenSage's vice president of marketing and business development, succeeds Jim Pflaging and will continue to focus on expanding the company's global leadership in SIEM and log management. Pflaging will remain in an advisory role to ensure an effective transition, having stepped down to spend more time with family and pursue new interests.
"Strong customer adoption of SenSage security intelligence solutions clearly shows the momentum the company has built in providing essential decision support for security, risk management and compliance operations," said Maha Ibrahim, a SenSage board member and general partner with SenSage investor Canaan Partners. "Joe is the ideal executive to lead the company through its next phase of growth as the market continues to adopt this critical capability."
Gottlieb has been a leading voice in the security and broader information technology industry for more than 20 years. He joined SenSage from McAfee, where he was vice president of corporate strategy and technology alliances, which included creation of the Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee's technology partnering program. He previously held executive positions at Nokia, the META Group and Ernst & Young.
"SenSage is well positioned for growth as enterprises around the world seek greater value from their security and compliance investments," said Gottlieb. "I am energized to lead our talented team and our network of strategic alliance partners as we collaborate to meet our customers' needs for better security intelligence."
SenSage Security Intelligence solutions include security information and event management (SIEM), log management, and SAP continuous controls monitoring, all supported by a single data management architecture, access model and console.
