Headset maker Merry sees 3Q09 profits up nearly 4-fold sequentially

Merry Electronics has announced net profits of NT$229 million (US$7.05 million) on consolidated revenues of NT$2.02 billion for the third quarter of 2009. The headset maker saw a profit jump of 387.9% sequentially in the quarter, with a 25.8% gross margin.

For the first three quarters of 2009, net profits totaled NT$512 million, down 94% from a year earlier. EPS for the January-September period was NT$0.85, the company said.
