Sony Ericsson Developer World China University Awards 2009

Sony Ericsson Developer World China University Awards 2009 is now open to university students and entries are accepted up until September 30, 2009. Sony Ericsson Developer World offers students a free platform for creativity and innovation. Winners will be selected by expert judges and online voting and results will be announced on November 2, 2009.

Open for Entries: July 1 to September 30, 2009
Sony Ericsson Developer World China University Awards 2009 is open to all university students in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao. The aim of the competition is to find the best marketable content such as applications, games and themes. Entries are accepted for the Java� Platform JP-7 and JP-8 and Windows Mobile� platforms. The competition is open for entries from July 1 to September 30, 2009. Entries will be showcased on the official competition website and voting will take place from October 12 to October 16, 2009. The winners will be announced on November 2, 2009 and prizes will be presented at the Sony Ericsson Developer Day later this year.

Competition categories
The competition is divided in to a number of categories, with a prize for each:

Best Green Application
Contribute to the environment with the brand new mobile applications, and give the mobile phone an important role in assisting humankind to protect the earth.
Best Mobile Entertainment
Sony Ericsson phones have all the features you need to create a great entertainment experience. From graphics and video to music and games, we challenge you to entertain us!
Best Lifestyle Application -
Busy personal and work agenda? Need to keep up with social networking? Turn the Sony Ericsson phone in to even more of a best friend for everyday life.
Best Mobile Themes
With support for Flash Lite and great tools like Themes Creator, we challenge you to make innovative and attractive themes to complement Sony Ericsson phones.
Best Creation
With your imagination and the capability of Sony Ericsson phones, anything is possible. Surprise us!
Best in Competition
An overall winner will be selected based on the voting.
Prizes
The University Awards 2009 offers rich prizes in each category. Each winner will receive a Sony Ericsson phone, a scholarship and, of course, a certificate. Winners will also be offered an internship opportunity by the Sony Ericsson R&D center. The winning entries will be recommended to Sony Ericsson�s content partner managers to check out the commercial opportunities.
