More shave ice for Hawaiis hot summer weather. But no matter how hot it gets, Hawaii type hot will always be more welcome than mainland hot, cause we got tradewinds!

After breakfast at Cinnamons and an afternoon at the beach, we headed over to Island Snow on the way back into town. I guess everyone else had the same idea cause boy, was it packed in there!

For $2.50 we each had a to-go sized cup, with a choice of up to three flavors and a scoop of ice cream hidden in the bottom. The ice here is noticeably coarser than Waiolas and Ice Garden, but after you beach, theres nothing more welcome than shave ice, ground coarse or fine. I chose lilikoi, lychee and li hing mui for my three flavors (bottom left), a great combo if I do say! The li hing mui was so strong that it overtook the lychee and lilikoi. About three scoops/sips/bites into my shave ice, that lovely sweet-sour flavor was all I could taste. I suppose it was all for the betterli hing mui was my favorite of the three!
